Amherst Writers & Artists

The site provides a description of the Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) writing group method and the services our non-profit organization provides. We provide trainings in the AWA method, writing workshops for underserved populations, a small press, and a network of affiliated workshop leaders across the United States and abroad. Our trainings prepare people to lead their own writing groups using the AWA method. The affiliates lead weekly AWA method writing groups as well as specialized AWA writing retreats in the US as well as Ireland, Wales, Mexico, Mallorca, and other places around the world.
