I haven't had it damage anything but you might want to do a test in an inconspicuous area. Another great thing it does, which has made my life so much easier is... grease on laundry. I do laundry for a mechanic and his jeans are black! I used to take a scrub brush and lots of laundry soap and scrub all the black grease off. The hot shot melts the grease off the laundry in seconds. You would never believe there was any grease on them at all when they come out of the dryer there is not one trace of grease and not one stain on the pants at all!!
