Bellezza: It's certainly a favorite of mine taste-wise, but family health history and my current triglyceride level make it clear that I have to cut down on the saturated fats and processed carbs if I don't want to eventually develop diabetes. Sigh...

dew: Certainly it meant we couldn't eat cold leftovers. Although at least it rewarmed really well!

Lotus: I don't mind the lack of photos, although I know some folks do, particularly when they're trying to make something attractive for company. One of those things I mention despite my preferences. :D

What a thorough review Heather, thank you! The thought of that peach cobbler (without all that butter ofcourse) is making me hungry and it's only 7:15am here! I don't really have a problem with a recipe book that has no pictures, but I think a cookbook always sells better when you give users a few pictures to drool over.

Ew, the puddle of congealed butter in the peach dish sounds disgusting! It reminds me of this time I baked brownies only I read the amount of butter wrong and put in double butter! Everyone named them "Butter Bombs" and we still laugh about them, but you know what? They were gone by the next morning! People gobbled them up, double butter and all.

I think I'd be tempted to list "tons of butter" as a pro. Just because it's my favorite food group next to sugar. :)

tara: It does lead to high grocery bills and a serious need to visit the gym, but it's definitely worth it! Although of course, it has its own dangers....
