I never envisioned Father Sun ripping open the front seam of his robe. But what if he had, only to discover he’d forgotten to wear his tunic that day? And what if Father Sun had sky blue streaks on his belly? Then Kan’s “deformity” might have been an image of the divine. Now that would have given Gundack reason to ponder.
