It sounds like maybe the end of the book was rushed. Maybe the author needed the money bad so they pumped out what could have been a great novel out too fast. Oh well, maybe I’ll pick a different book instead.

I got this book from the publisher and I looked at the cover, read the blurb and thought, ok, let’s give this a try. I have it in my handbag right now. Something told me to look for a review online before starting it, and now you have saved me a few hours of my life – thanks! I will read an Amelia Peabody Mystery instead.
