Errant Thoughts

Today’s links

I’m going to try to batch these up, save this throughout the day, and just post it once so I can stop with all the three-post-days or whatever.

First link of the day: Zen and the art of getting off tilt from Wil Wheaton. His writing is so evocative that I find it fascinating to read about poker, and I really don’t care all that much about poker.

Next, the 2006 Comic-Con Snakes on a Plane panel, including Sam Jackson, a 19′ anaconda, and a 10-minute clip from the film. (Link via FARK.) You really, really have to go watch the video of the panel. Trust me on this one.

I’ve been updating the reviews blog with all the chocolate cookbook reviews today, so oh god am I hungry now! Makes me glad I found a good-quality sugar-free dark chocolate bar at Trader Joe’s that’s sweetened with xylitol (rather than Splenda) and less than half the price of the Guylian bars at the supermarket. I may have to use it to make hot chocolate tonight.
