Yeah, I turned the authentication thingy on because the comment spam I had to wade through was unbearably thick. At least once you have a typekey acct. you can use it to log onto any typekey or MT blog, so I figured it wouldn't be too onerous (hopefully).

I'll take a peek at your forums. And don't worry about not always having time/memory to respond. Umm, I really don't want to think about some of the emails I probably have buried in my inbox that I haven't gotten to, so I definitely understand. *grin*

Oh, and, you're a trusted commenter now, so your comments don't get moderated (nifty feature of MT). I figure I trust you to not be a pain in the butt by now. ;)

I had to figure how to log onto this new login thingy.

Yay.

Actually, I wrote a nice guide on this stuff a while back. I think I can link it here, if you want to take a look. Maybe you can incorporate some of it into yours. My guildies brought to my attention that ours are similar.

Oh, crap, just remembered. I don't have access to those forums from work.

If you go to www.pathoshammer.com and click forums, I think my post is in announcements. Or somewhere. Just browse. It's got a lot of stuff.

I have been reading your posts on my blog, and thank you. I just don't always have the time to get back to them, or the memory to remember to respond.

Oh, you don't have to post this, if you don't want. Just read, absorb, delete. :) Nice thing about your new setup, eh?

Feel free; I hope they help!

Yeah, I've seen folks quit guilds and groups for the silliest reasons. If you don't immediately do or provide whatever it is they want, apparently you're a mean, stingy, unhelpful person. Back to that ol' pet peeve of mine, entitlement.

But well, ultimately, they're the ones who'll be most unhappy because of it. If you're always convinced you should be getting more than you are, then you'll never be happy with what you have.

Good to see you again!

These are great tips!

If you don't mind, I'm posting them in my guild forum, and, of course crediting and citing you.

I especially like the "Don't assume the other players are being mean if they don't answer your question." comment. I've had so many guildies outright quit because they felt they were being ignored in guild chat. For instance, someone would ask a question in guild chat during a slow time, and not get an answer. But the question would be something like, "Is there an enchanter online?" Well, if I'm not an enchanter, guess what I'm going to answer? Nothing! I'm not even going to respond. I can't speak for the entire guild in that respect, and I shouldn't. I also shouldn't be responsible for hunting down an enchanter for this person. Indeed, as you suggest, chances are, I'm under attack anyway, and can't immediately respond.

I can't believe someone would leave a guild because of that, but ultimately, it's probably better that those hot-headed individuals do depart -- early.

Thanks for this.
