Here it is: we’re officially business owners (this is so strange). We’re currently on a waiting list for a virtual server at a new provider; once we have it we’ll deploy the new version of the site. Sometime today we’ll go get a PO Box for business correspondence, and hopefully a business bank account (so many little details to deal with), not to mention an EIN.

I haven’t hit the limits of the open beta for the Lord of the Rings Online game, but I have had a chance to play around a bit more, so it’s time for a few more thoughts on the game. Again, there will be a handful of comparisons with Warcraft just because that’s my other game of choice so it’s what I have to compare it to.

One thing I loathe is extremism, in pretty much all of its forms. I don’t care whether you’re conservative or liberal, anti-war or pro-whatever, odds are if you’re at the far extreme of a position, you’re ignoring some sort of basic truth about a matter. I’ve never seen a single issue that was so utterly black and white that it didn’t deserve some moderation in approach.

I think it’s worth watching this 9-minute YouTube video of a Korean World of Warcraft wedding just once, even though the constant camera motion will make you dizzy and the echoing quality of any vocals is just plain eerie, for the pure WTF?!-value.

Although I’m not a programmer, I do enjoy the creating passionate users blog. It’s a crying shame that the woman running it got bullied into more or less shutting it down by a bunch of twits who don’t seem to think a woman should do what she’s doing.

Well, we’re another step closer to having that business and being able to roll out a couple of new things. In the meantime, our partner-in-crime keeps coming up with Mother’s Day Warcraft shirts.
And I think my GIMP skills are improving, so they’re coming out pretty well.
