Aye. I have no problem whatsoever with someone saying, "I'm not willing to pay X for Y," and deciding not to use it. We all have to decide whether we value something enough to pay for it. But believing that it's somehow wrong for people to at least attempt to make a living off of their work completely baffles me.

We've been hotly debating the merits of what WotC appears to be attempting in the next version of D&D, but it's funny, since I've been playing other types of tabletop RPGs I really don't think I care either. The point about having to make money is well taken though. I remember being very confused as a lad when I used to listen to a lot of punk music. One of my favorite bands signed a record contract and I was excited for them, but a good deal of the "hardcore" punk fans accused them of "selling out". I was curious how exactly they were supposed to eat on a daily basis.
