Trish: Good luck finding a good dentist! I'm quite happy with ours. We picked him because he was right up the street, but we stuck with him because he knows what he's doing and he's nice.

How many recipes we make from a cookbook very much depends on the cookbook. Minimum, three, chosen to test a variety of recipes from different areas of the cookbook. The larger the cookbook and the more varied its contents, the more we make. We often try to pick recipes that we think will potentially expose any trouble areas. As for hobby vs. business, well, we just make the recipes at home and live off of them---although we try to make desserts before visiting friends, so we can spread the calories around. ;)

Feline: Aye, the pile of books is daunting, but definitely in a good way. ;)

I am in the same boat regarding review books--which is about to topsize might I add! I wouldn't have it any other way though. I am glad your visit to the dentist went well, Heather. I don't like going either. :-(

Ew, I don't envy your trip to the dentist! I'm shopping around for a new one right now--and while I haven't had any work done, my teeth are sensitive and hurt just thinking about it. When you review a cookbook--how many recipes do you try from it? Hobby/business? Curious...
