Authenticated commenting works now… really this time…

A very kind reader pointed out to me that the TypeKey authentication I had set up for the commenting in order to reduce the comment spam I had to wade through was producing errors. I believe I have fixed the problem. Thank you Scott for your patience and help in debugging the problem!

    And it works!

I meant to e-mail you yesterday and say “it’s bust”. But I couldn’t find your e-mail. And I got distracted.

    Ah, well. 🙂

  2. *does a happy dance* I absolutely love MovableType, but its documentation sometimes makes me want to bang my head into a wall in frustration. If I could hire the folks who made the docs for Inspiration 8 to make a new set for Movable Type, I’d be a happy woman. In the meantime, I’m just glad I have a propensity for poking at things until they work, and nice readers who let me know about these things.

Hmm, I should review MovableType today. 😀

Success for me as well. Glad you have it rolling… now I can add strange comments. Not that I remember what I was going to comment on in the first place anymore…

  4. Heh… oops… sorry it took so long to get it fixed! I seem to have a knack for breaking at least one thing for each thing I fix. 😉

You think you’re frustrated? I’m now working with Movable Type for a living! 🙂

  6. Youch! You have my sympathies! What gets me is their glowing statement about having professionally-written documentation. It doesn’t seem to have helped much. It reminds me a bit of UNIX man pages–useful if you already know what you’re doing and need to look up a command as a reminder, but not so useful if you actually need to figure out how to do something!
