We decided to try out a restaurant nearby last night that we’ve wanted to try forever. It’s a weird combination of a sort of downscale decor with upscale food. When you look around at the cheap veneered tables you just don’t expect the sheer awesomeness of the sesame-curry crusted salmon.

I did break my self-imposed ban on sugar, but at least we split a dessert, and we didn’t have anything else bad for us–just that one thing, consciously chosen for a splurge. Of course it means the food cravings are kicking back in a bit today, but nothing I can’t handle.
On the Warcraft & roleplaying front, I Stumbled across a fantastic music video pieced together from cinematic sequences. (If anyone has the link to this on YouTube please leave it in the comments; I’d love to be able to embed this, but for some reason the YouTube link after the video linked through SU isn’t working for me.) I’m actually thinking of using this video as a dream that a character in my campaign will have after he undergoes a… change. I think the sequences could easily be interpreted in ways that will fit nicely into the plots I’m working on. More notes to come when I write up the next chunk of plot, probably sometime this week.
I’m debating discontinuing the Twilight Time after we make the changes to the web site that we have upcoming. We’ll see. I just haven’t been writing enough articles to justify keeping it going, I think. It’s a tough decision, though, because I’ve had that list up for close to 8 years now.
It’s a sleepy day, so I’m not getting as much done as I’d like, but at least I did put together a new shirt design this morning:

You took my mobs!
We made some “Southwestern” tilapia last night. but it the spices didn’t really do their thing. (Too bland.)
Part of the problem may have been my substitution of corn starch for corn meal…
That would certainly affect the texture as well as the taste. I’d be curious to know how much of a difference it made in the spiciness, though, if you ever try it the other way.
