Since I’ve taken to collecting links here to the more informal book blogging posts I make over at Errant Thoughts every so often, I thought I’d start this one off with a link to a challenge I might actually participate in for once:
The hidden side of a leaf is holding a 24 Hour Read-a-Thon in October. I’m tentatively planning to take part, with updates posted at Errant Thoughts and reviews of anything I finish posted here. There are prizes involved, so go sign up!
The latest Booking Through Thursday entry is up: Sunshine and Roses (9/20).
Followed by: Friendship (9/27) and Decorum (10/4).
Also, A Bookish Meme (10/3).
Thanks for joining the readathon annd for promoting it! 🙂
I mean, IF you get to join. Hope you do!
Heather, you are a brave soul, I am not sure I could read for 24 hours straight! I think it’s fantastic that you’re taking part in this challenge, all the very best, hope you do well!
dew: My pleasure! Hopefully you’ll get lots of participants. 🙂
Lotus: I know I can’t make it through a full 24 hours, but it’s set up so you can go part of the day, and I’ll do what I can. 🙂 I haven’t been able to stay up for 24 hours straight since shortly after college!
You know….I would LOVE to have a straight 24-hours to just read, but with 3 kids, it ain’t gonna happen!! Besides, that day we have a travel football game 1 1/2 hours away AND my neighbors are getting married that evening. So I’ll probably be gone from 11 am to 11 pm!!
When my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, I said a hotel room, with a big king-sized bed and room service….so all I had to do was order in and read all day long. He thought about it for a minute, and was like, “But what am I going to do?” And I said, “Like you would be invited!! It’s a day for ME!”. He really thought I was kidding. What a bonehead!!
Stephanie: If I had kids, my standing birthday request to my husband would SO be a day off!
