Ed Polish and Darren Wotz’s Give the Bitch Her Chocolate is a great little fold-out desktop stand-up collection of sayings and pictures that lets you show everyone just how you’re feeling today! And if you’ve got attitude, this is the perfect way to show it off.

Polish and Wotz pair together vulgar, offensive, sarcastic witticisms (yes, pretty much everyone can find something to be offended by in here) with darling vintage illustrations of housewives, families, and husbands. Those illustrations take on delightful new meaning when paired with such sayings as “should I be expected to stay sober all morning?” and “Wine! How classy people get shitfaced.” Whether sex, coffee, booze, red meat, or chocolate is your thing, you’ll definitely find something in here to suit your sense of humor. There are even a few, such as “No pulse yet… more coffee, please” that you can put out in front of company with more “delicate” sensibilities. I wouldn’t recommend leaving it out where kids can thumb through it, however.

So whether you prefer the lovely illustration of a genteel woman in a supermarket produce section declaring that “I didn’t claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables,” the happy butcher with his sliced meats asking, “I gave up pimping for this?” or the businessman declaring “The glass can be half empty …or half full… as long as there’s Scotch in it,” this book is worth the price of admission. The easily offended should definitely stay away, but those with a raucous sense of humor are sure to enjoy!
